Spain offers a wide variety of museums. And for those of you who are interested I should recommend the flour museum which is located between Ronda and Ubrique. Its name is Museo Etnologico El Molino de Abajo and it is located in El Bosque. As far as I know the museum is currently owned by Raul Giral and it is actually a functional museum from 1998. It was quite hard to restore the original look of this building but the final result is worth being seen. This is definitely one of the greatest museums that you should visit while being in Spain and staying in Madrid apartment. Although it is not that famous you will have lots of interesting stuff to see in there.

But it’s not only the museum that makes this area amazing – it is the olive oil as well. Before been there many people told me that this is the region which makes one of the best olive oil all over the world but I refused to believe them. Well, I have to tell you that I changed my mind the minute I went to a local restaurant and ordered some oil. It is made in the area of El Bosque and here is a link that you should read if you are interested in the history – http://www.elmolinodeabajo.com/ – unfortunately it is in Spanish and if you don’t understand you’d better find someone to translate it.
As far as I remember the name of the place was El Callejon Molino de Aceite. They have a wide variety of olive oils but there is one assortment that is more special than the others and its name is acebuchina. What makes it so unique is its great flavor and rich scent. It is made of the fruit of acebuche which is an evergreen tree. It takes more than 70 years for this tree to start producing – now I guess you see why this place and olive oil are so special.
There is definitely something magical about this area. It is not as popular as other regions in Spain but this does not mean it’s not worth seeing. My advice is that if you have a change to go. First of all it is not as crowded as the other destinations and second of all you will see an entirely different side of Spain even if you are renting Barcelona apartments. Plus the museum of wheat is one great place to go and learn something new and interesting. Anyway, my last recommendation is to use a personal vehicle or rent one because there are many places that are worth stopping by and if you are using a train or a bus there is no chance this to happen. There are many small hotels in this are who offer accommodation at affordable prices so don’t worry about that. One thing I know for sure, if I have a chance again I’ll definitely go there and visit the same museum and restaurant as well. Don’t forget to try the olive oil and Learn Spanish in Spain!
After your visit to Spain you should consider going to Italy where you can rent accommodation in apartments in Rome.
